I became a Fed. Rep. in 2009, dealing with Conduct related incidents, sickness matters and grievances across the force area. I was elected to the Deputy Secretary Role at Green Lane in August 2015.
Where time allows, I enjoy most sports, whether participating or watching.
Support and Welfare Rep
Rob Venables
Joined the Merseyside Police in 1988 and has worked in a variety of predominantly uniform roles across the Force area. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2003 and was latterly a custody sergeant in Wavertree Road and Headquarters fed rep.
He is passionate about equality issues and is the Merseyside Police Federation Equality lead.
His primary interests outside of work are his family, his greyhounds (rescued) and listening to music (the more obscure the better)!
Misconduct Leader
Dave Lowe
20 years service, all in uniform working shifts.. Became a local Fed Rep for the Wirral following the sad death in service of my wife's uncle Jimmy Forrest in 2001 who was the fed rep for the area.
Took a keen interest in the misconduct field almost immediately and feel as passionate about it today as I did then representing officers throughout the force.
I became the full time misconduct leader for Merseyside Police Federation in November 2012 following the retirement of my predecessor.
Its a very busy role and time consuming but its worth it when the right outcome is achieved.
When I'm not answering phones e mails or meeting with members I am the Senior Helmsman at New Brighton Lifeboat. I have been a volunteer with the RNLI for the past 25 years.
I am also a fanatical Everton season ticket holder following them home and away whenever I can.
When I manage to find any time to spend at home I do so with my wife and 3 boys.
